What are filters?
A filter is used to filter light before entering the sensor. In the spectral range, if analyzed, natural light has many different colors and has a significant impact on photography, so a filter must be used to limit unnecessary colors.
A filter is a layer of glass usually attached to the front of the camera lens, for the purpose of protecting the front lens or creating special effects for the image. Depending on the intended use, people will choose an appropriate filter, or combine multiple filters together.
It is an indispensable accessory that allows photographers to adjust the color intensity, reduce reflections or simply protect the lens. Accordingly, a number of lens filters will be widely used in both photography and videography.
While each filter serves a specific purpose, in general, they are created to provide a special effect that enhances the final image quality.

- Make sure the solar filter fits snugly to the front of your device. For binoculars, you will need a filter on each of the two front lenses.
- During all partial phases of a solar eclipse, the solar filter(s) must cover the front of your device.
- Only for the brief "total" duration of a total eclipse - when the Moon completely covers the Sun's disk - is the filter removed and the view devoid of it.
- Get ready to stop the view input and reset the filter the moment the first ray of the Sun's disk reappears, signaling the end of all.
