Generators are the kind of device that, until you need one, you don't typically give much thought to. And a generator is reasonably necessary in those times when you find yourself in need of one.
During a power outage, you can continue to use the generator to power your home, RV, or lodge, or you can use it to keep the lights on at the campsite. However, generators have been around for some time; until very recently, there was just one choice: a gas-powered or diesel-powered generator. Generators have certainly been around for quite some time.
Old-fashioned generators that run on fossil fuels can complete the task at hand, but they are far from ideal. They are annoyingly noisy, emitting foul odors and fumes, and there is also the problem of ensuring that the fuel tank is always sufficiently stocked.
Solar generators don't suffer nearly as many drawbacks as their gas-powered counterparts. They produce zero pollutants, there is no noise whatsoever, and there is no fuel tank to speak of. You will have access to a source of electricity so long as the sun continues to rise.
You will need solar panels, preferably clear skies, to guarantee that you always have sufficient power available. When shopping for a generator, make sure it has enough ability to run all of your electronics, and consider getting solar panels to go along with it so you can keep them powered up when you need them the most.
