Buying guide

Q: Is it worth buying a battery?

A: You'll need a Phillips head screwdriver and patience. I remove a lantern's curved hanger, gray plastic bottom, and looped wire. Then, unscrew the three screws on the solar panel (top) or internal piece (bottom). Remove the old AAA battery, align the screw holes, and tighten the screws a couple of twists at a time. Just enough to prevent bending or breaking. Power on the switch. Replace the curved solar panel hanger after inserting the vertical wire and gray bottom piece.

Q: Warm, yellowish, or cold, blueish?

A: Our lanterns glow blue. Ours is constructed of white paper, which changes light color.
